Story of the Virginia Interscholastic Association (VIA)

Prairie View Interscholastic League

Similar to the Virginia Interscholastic Association, there was the Prairie View Interscholastic League. It existed from 1920 to 1970 and was the governing body for academic, athletic, and music competitions for Black high schools in Texas during the state's Jim Crow era.

In 2024, they hosted a Hall of Fame banquet. View a copy of the program.
